First Generation

1.  Robert Walter.

Robert Walter and Joan were married.  8th Great Grandparents  Robert Walter and Joan  had the following child:

        2 i. Elizabeth Walter, born 1646; married William Harrad.

Second Generation

2.  Elizabeth Walter (Robert-1) was born in 1646.

Elizabeth Walter and William Harrad were married.  7th Great Grandparents  William Harrad,  son of John Harrad, was born in 1656. He died in 1678 at the age of 22.

William Harrad and Elizabeth Walter had the following child:

        3 i. Samuel Harrad, born 1675; married Eleanor Austin; died 1711.

Third Generation

3.  Samuel Harrad (Elizabeth Walter-2, Robert-1) was born in 1675. He died in 1711 at the age of 36.

Samuel Harrad and Eleanor Austin were married.  6th Great Grandparents  Eleanor Austin, daughter of Anthony Austin and Elinor Hersy, was born in 1675.

Samuel Harrad and Eleanor Austin had the following child:

        4 i. William Harwood, born 1706; married Jane Ball; died 1748.

Fourth Generation

4.  William Harwood (Samuel-3, Elizabeth Walter-2, Robert-1) was born in 1706. He died in 1748 at the age of 42.

William Harwood and Jane Ball were married.  5th Great Grandparents  Jane Ball,  daughter of Thomas Ball and Mary, was born in 1704 in Petworth, Sussex, England. She died in 1770 at the age of 66.

William Harwood and Jane Ball had the following child:

        5 i. John Harwood, born 1737; married Elizabeth Jeanes; died 1771.

Fifth Generation

5.  John Harwood (William-4, Samuel-3, Elizabeth Walter-2, Robert-1) was born in 1737. He died in 1771 at the age of 34.

John Harwood and Elizabeth Jeanes  were  married.  4th Great Grandparents  Elizabeth Jeanes, daughter of John Jeanes and Mary Mills, was born in 1740. She died in 1801 at the age of 61.

John Harwood and Elizabeth Jeanes had the following children:

        6 i. Elizabeth Janes Harwood, married Thomas Saunders, 20 Apr 1794, Petworth.

        7 ii. Mary Harwood, born 1766; married William Upton, 1 May 1787, Petworth, Sussex, England; died 1827.

Sixth Generation

6.  Elizabeth Janes Harwood (John-5, William-4, Samuel-3, Elizabeth Walter-2, Robert-1) was christened on 11 Jul 1764 in Petworth.

Elizabeth Janes Harwood and Thomas Saunders were married on 20 Apr 1794 in Petworth. Thomas Saunders was born (date unknown).

7.  Mary Harwood (John-5, William-4, Samuel-3, Elizabeth Walter-2, Robert-1) was born in 1766. She died in 1827 at the age of 61.

Mary Harwood and William Upton  3rd Great Grandparents  were married on 1 May 1787 in Petworth, Sussex, England. William Upton,  son of William Upton and Elizabeth Fielder, was born on 8 Sep 1762 in Petworth, Sussex, England. He died in 1819 at the age of 57.

William Upton and Mary Harwood had the following children:

         i. Clara Upton was born in 1786.

         ii. Isabella Upton was born in 1787. She died in 1789 at the age of 2.

         iii. Anna Maria Upton was born in 1790.

        8 iv. Frances Upton, born 25 Dec 1791, Petworth, Sussex, England; married George Wood, 24 Oct 1816, Godalming, Surrey, England; died 1833.

        9 v. Eliza Upton, born 1794; married William George Johnson; died 1840.

         vi. Harriet Upton was born in 1796.

         vii. James Upton was born in 1798.

         viii. Henry Upton was born in 1802.

         ix. George Upton was born in 1803. He died in 1805 at the age of 2.

         x. Jane 1806 Upton died in 1831.

         xi. Emma Upton was born in 1809.

Seventh Generation

8.  Frances Upton (Mary Harwood-6, John-5, William-4, Samuel-3, Elizabeth Walter-2, Robert-1) was born on 25 Dec 1791 in Petworth, Sussex, England. She died in 1833 at the age of 42.

Frances Upton and George Wood  2nd Great Grandparents  were married on 24 Oct 1816 in Godalming, Surrey, England. George Wood, son of George Wood and Elizabeth Lawford, was born in 1789 in Surrey, London, England. He died in 1865 at the age of 76.

George Wood and Frances Upton had the following children:

        10 i. Ellen Wood, born 1818; married Thomas John Cunningham; died 1881.

        11 ii. William Reeve Wood, born 1822, Godalming, Surrey, England; married Harriet Ann Johnson; died 1883, 30 Philip Road, Peckham Rye, Surrey, England.

9.  Eliza Upton (Mary Harwood-6, John-5, William-4, Samuel-3, Elizabeth Walter-2, Robert-1) was born in 1794. She died in 1840 at the age of 46.

Eliza Upton and William George Johnson were married.  2nd Great Grandparents  William George Johnson, son of William Johnson and Ann Wakeford, was born in 1793 in Petworth, Sussex, England. He was christened on 30 Apr 1793 in Petworth, Sussex, England. He died in 1861 at the age of 68. William was buried on 21 Nov 1861 in Petworth, Petworth, Sussex, England.

William George Johnson and Eliza Upton had the following child:

        12 i. Harriet Ann Johnson, born 1821, Petworth, Sussex, England; married William Reeve Wood;  died 1895, Peckham, Surrey, England.

Eighth Generation

10.  Ellen Wood (Frances Upton-7, Mary Harwood-6, John-5, William-4, Samuel-3, Elizabeth Walter-2, Robert-1) was born in 1818. She died in 1881 at the age of 63.

Ellen Wood and Thomas John Cunningham were married. Thomas John Cunningham, son of William Percy Cunningham and Sarah Gadseden, was born in 1823. He died in 1857 at the age of 34.

11.  William Reeve Wood (Frances Upton-7, Mary Harwood-6, John-5, William-4, Samuel-3, Elizabeth Walter-2, Robert-1) was born in 1822 in Godalming, Surrey, England. He died in 1883 at the age of 61 in 30 Philip Road, Peckham Rye, Surrey, England.

12.  Harriet Ann Johnson (Eliza Upton-7, Mary Harwood-6, John-5, William-4, Samuel-3, Elizabeth Walter-2, Robert-1) was born in 1821 in Petworth, Sussex, England. She was christened on 11 Jun 1826. She died in 1895 at the age of 74 in Peckham, Surrey, England.

Harriet Ann Johnson and William Reeve Wood were married. (marriage of 1st Cousins) NB This entry is Repeated Information. William Reeve Wood, son of George Wood and Frances Upton, was born in 1822 in Godalming, Surrey, England. He died in 1883 at the age of 61 in 30 Philip Road, Peckham Rye, Surrey, England.

William Reeve Wood and Harriet Ann Johnson had the following children:

         i. Frances Eliza Wood was born in 1854.

13.  George Johnson Wood (William Reeve-8, Frances Upton-7, Mary Harwood-6, John-5, William-4, Samuel-3, Elizabeth Walter-2, Robert-1) was born in 1859 in Camberwell, Surrey, England. He died in 1910 at the age of 51 in Beddington, Surrey, England.

George Johnson Wood and Ada Louise Salmon were married. Ada Louise Salmon,

 Grandparents  daughter of Henry Salmon and Ellen Catherine Fry, was born on 9 Mar 1873 in Heavitree, Devonshire, England. She died in 1949 at the age of 76 in Parkstone, Dorsetshire, England.

George Johnson Wood and Ada Louise Salmon had the following children:

        14 i. Brig. Lionel Johnson Wood C.B.E., born 27 Apr 1907, Cheam, Surrey, England; married Dorothy Mary Hart; died 1977, Glenfield, North Shore, Auckland, New Zealand.

         ii. Edith Catherine Ada Wood was born in 1909. She died in 1967 at the age of 58.

Tenth Generation

14.  Brig. Lionel Johnson Wood C.B.E. (George Johnson-9, William Reeve-8, Frances Upton-7, Mary Harwood-6, John-5, William-4, Samuel-3, Elizabeth Walter-2, Robert-1) was born on 27 Apr 1907 in Cheam, Surrey, England. He died in 1977 at the age of 70 in Glenfield, North Shore, Auckland, New Zealand.

Brig. Lionel Johnson Wood C.B.E. and Dorothy Mary Hart were married.  Parents  Dorothy Mary Hart, daughter of Wyndham Ernest Hart and Ada Muriel Elliston, was born on 10 Oct 1913 in 19 Aldrington Road, Streatham, Surrey, England. She died on 18 Jul 2008 at the age of 94 in Glenfield, North Shore, Auckland, New Zealand. She was buried on 23 Jul 2008 in North Shore Crematorium, Schnapper Rock Road..

Lionel Johnson Wood and Dorothy Mary Hart had the following children:

Gillian "Gilly" Marielle Wood,   Self   born 25 Jun 1947, Bognor Regis, Sussex; married as his 2nd wife Gordon Noel Elliston in Glenfield, North Shore, Auckland, New Zealand (Third Cousins). Gordon was b. 23 July 1925 Auckland, New Zealand and died 11 March 2016 Katikati, New Zealand, son of George Frederick Elliston and Florence Annie Fagan.
