IN MEMORY: Peter Lawford (1923-1984)

Peter Sydney Aylen Lawford married 4 times,

1st to Patricia Kennedy, daughter of Ambassador Joseph Patrick Kennedy and sister of American President John F. Kennedy;  

2nd to Mary Rowan; 

3rd to Deborah Gould; 

4th to Patricia Seaton.

Peter was born on 7th September 1923 in London, Middlesex and died in Los Angeles on Christmas Eve in 1984.

He was a prominent Hollywood Actor and a member of Frank Sinatra's "Rat Pack"

Peter's family was connected to the English aristocracy through his uncle Ernest Lawford's wife (a daughter of the 14th Earl of Eglinton as well as his aunt Ethel Turner Lawford (who married a son of the first Baron Avebury).

His aunt Jessie Bruce Lawford, another of his father's sisters, was the second wife of the Hon Hartley Williams, senior puisne judge of the Supreme Court in Victoria, Australia. A relative, through his mother, was Australian artist Rupert Bunny. Peter was my 4th Cousin once removed.

He was rather too fond of the "Good Life" and ultimately it was no doubt the drink that led to his early demise.
